Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Kamilov received a delegation of the World Muslim Communities Council during an official visit to the Uzbek capital, Tashkent this month.
In a whirl-wind tour of diplomacy, the two parties discussed means to further enhance cooperation between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the World Council of Muslim Communities.
The delegation toured several prominent religious and academic institutions, including the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, the Imam Maturidi International Scientific Research Centre, the Centre for Islamic Civilisation, and the Imam Bukhari International Scientific Research Centre.
The delegation was also escorted to famous Islamic landmarks and religious schools and universities throughout Uzbekistan during its visit.
