Food, fetes, and fanfare are the mainstay of summer celebrations, and this year, it will be ushered in at the Halal Food Festival on 25-26 May at Birmingham.

Expect dinner and plenty of shows as more than thirty street food vendors and other independents will be showcasing delicious Halal fare alongside TikTok stars, radio DJs and YouTubers at the upcoming Halal Food Festival at the NEC in Birmingham this month.

As well as food and drink, the two-day event will feature live entertainment, modest fashion, jewellery, beauty and culture with more than 150 lifestyle exhibitors and more than 40 artisan market vendors confirmed to appear.

Among the confirmed influencers scheduled to appear are TikTokkers @Anisagrams and @ZaynahsBakes and YouTuber Pulwasha Cooks.

The event will be hosted by a team of young British Muslims who welcomed 15,000 visitors to last year’s Birmingham event, which was the first in the city.

The Halal Family Group CEO Bilal Khan says that past festivals were in Leicester and Manchester and this year, the Midlands will host a huge array of cuisines from around the world.

“We are really excited to be bringing this event to the Midlands to this year. The aim is to bring Halal cuisines from across the globe together for a weekend of live entertainment and special guest appearances,” says Khan.

According to Khan, the food vendors confirmed include; Chipsta, Cleopatra’s Kitchen and Only Jerkin as well as Malik Butchers, known for their Halal artisan hotdogs, Samosa Boy, Culture Cooking Caribbean cuisine and Mr Tee’s ice cream van.

New vendors for this year are Kiran Corndogs and Wolverhampton’s Eat & Meat, to name a few.

“We are looking to showcase Halal cuisines from all across the globe, including Asia, Africa, the Middle East and from Turkey and the Western region too. Expect street food vendors, special guest chefs, influencers, your favourite Halal brands, live cooking demonstrations and entertainment for all ages,” says Khan.
